Vocentra Future Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates ProfessionalResume.au. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
We collect the following categories of information: (a) Account information — your email address and password when you register; (b) Resume and career content — files you upload and text you enter into our Tools; (c) Usage data — pages visited, features used, and timestamps, collected automatically via server logs and analytics; (d) Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers on our servers; (e) Communications — any emails or support messages you send us.
We use your information to: (a) provide, operate, and improve the Service; (b) process payments and manage your subscription; (c) send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts); (d) send optional product updates and career tips if you opt in; (e) respond to support requests; (f) detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and (g) comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your resume content or personal data to train AI models.
Your resume and job description content is sent to Anthropic (Claude API) for AI processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models and processes data in accordance with their enterprise data privacy commitments. Content is transmitted over encrypted connections and is not retained by Anthropic beyond the immediate request.
Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, located in data centres that comply with industry security standards. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: (a) Service providers — Supabase (database and auth), Anthropic (AI processing), and Stripe (payments) who process data on our behalf under contractual obligations; (b) Law enforcement — if required by Australian law or a valid court order; (c) Business transfers — in connection with a merger or acquisition, subject to confidentiality obligations. We will always notify you of material changes to how your data is shared.
We use essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Service is used in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies or share data with advertising networks. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect Service functionality.
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) correct inaccurate or outdated information; (c) request deletion of your account and associated data; and (d) make a privacy complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au. We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes (typically 7 years for financial records under Australian law).
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the Policy was last revised.
